Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps “pleased” that progress has been made after raising it to the County Council.

A variety of residents in Hatfield Garden Village have raised concerns that the bus stop on Campion Road, next to Daisy Drive, had been recently damaged.

With a large hole in the glass behind the seats, and broken glass strewn over the ground this posed a serious health risk to residents and commuters.

After raising it with Herts County Council and County Councillor James Bond, MP Grant Shapps was pleased to see that repairs had begun on the bus stop. He said:

“I’m pleased that progress has been made toward its repair – the broken glass is gone, but the bus stop is still in a poor state more generally.”

He added:

“Hopefully the repairs are finished soon, but James and I will continue to press the council until they are.”
