The annual Christmas market at Hatfield House is taking place this year on Saturday 3rd November. It takes place at its usual setting of the Riding School in the grounds of Hatfield House from 10.30am to 4pm. Admission is £2 with accompanied children admitted free of charge.
This popular Christmas market has become a firm fixture in the calendar running for over 40 years. Every year gets bigger and better and this year promises to be no exception. It’s a great opportunity to buy some early Christmas presents and to bag some great bargains. There’s something for everyone with stalls offering things such as Christmas puddings, health and beauty products, handmade jewellery, clothes and much more!
It’s organised by the Welwyn Hatfield Conservatives who donate half the proceed to the local charity Isabel Hospice which provides specialist end-of-life care, free of charge, to the people of eastern Hertfordshire. This arrangement has raised well over £100,000 over the last three decades.
Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps said, “This is a great way of supporting the fantastic Isabel Hospice which does such incredible work in our local area. I’m very proud that this partnership between the charity and the local conservatives dates back 40 years and so I urge everyone to come to the market so that we can donate even more than ever to this cause!”
