Local MP Grant Shapps visited the recently opened Amber Tea Room in his constituency to mark Small Business Saturday.
Over the course of the visit, Mr Shapps learnt about the tea room’s successes since its opening and met local residents who were enjoying the venue.
Named after the gemstone of the Baltic Sea, Amber Tea Room opened its doors in Hatfield to customers a few short months ago and has been providing the community with a picturesque and warm environment in which to enjoy tea, cake and an array of other drinks and food.
Mr Shapps chatted to owner Alex about how the business had been going: “it’s been going well. We’ve met loads of locals and hopefully we’re going to get even more bookings.”
During the visit, Mr Shapps also sat down with some local residents who were enjoying the hospitality of Amber Tea Room and thanked them for supporting small businesses in Hatfield.
“Everyone says running a business isn’t a piece of cake but the team at Amber Tea Room make it look so easy,” said Mr Shapps
“I am proud to be the local MP for this new small business and am pleased to hear about their achievements. I will do all I can to help and support Amber Tea Room and other small businesses across Welwyn Hatfield.”
