The “excellent support” given by staff at a well-loved care centre has been highlighted by Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps
He praised staff and volunteers at Garden City Day Centre for providing “invaluable services and opportunities” during a recent visit. Mr Shapps said: “The centre is an important part of the community. The caregivers are tireless in their dedication to provide the best care possible.”
Mr Shapps met with Laura Hall, a constituent who invited him to visit the centre, and her daughter Charlie who attends the day centre. Laura also praised the centre calling it a “wonderful place that I just can’t praise enough”.
Mr Shapps spoke with clients and staff as he learned about the work the day centre does and its importance to the community. The visit, he said, had highlighted the centre’s “dedication to providing a secure environment for attendees who enjoy a variety of activities”.
Russell Williams who is the centre’s Assistant Manager said: “We were very pleased to welcome Grant Shapps to the centre. “We were happy to show him the work and support of the staff team, who provide a safe environment for people attending the service.”
Mr Shapps thanked Laura, Russell and the Garden City Day Centre team for the visit and wished them well for the future.
