On Friday night around 00.15 I was walking near woodhall lane with my dog when I saw this young lad around 20ish standing on the path when all of a sudden there was this police officer shouted stay there to him which he did and then this officer jumped on him then I saw this officer THUMPED this young lad in the mouth
Ok I don't know what this lad done { if anything }but he was NOT fighting back nor threaten in any way to this officer so why jump on him and thump him !!!!!! There was also other officers around also who saw this. Now if he was fighting back or swearing I could understand this, but he was not he was just standing there when asked to stop. No wonder people don't have faith in the police anymore.
If anyone knows who this lad was and he want's a witness i would be willing to stand up and make a statement against this officer !! I normally have praise for the police but not anymore. when I hear of such things I myself always think they are making it up !!! but I have now seen it with my own eyes now and can understand why so many people don't like the police anymore and have no respect for them when they treat people like this !!
Is this the future for the police ? jump in and punch then ask questions after, did this police officer really feel the need to do this to a young lad even though he was half his size and he had back up with other officers if need be. I was so shocked what I saw I was awake most of the night just thinking what happened.
What a disgrace and I hope this lad make a complaint as the police officer should be professional and not a thug himself. As i said I don't know what he did but can't see any reason why he would be treated like this, even after when he got up from the floor the lad did not struggle at all.
The police force is a disgrace and the other officers should have step in and stopped this thug of a officer.
