Virgin Healthcare has bought a majority share in Assura Medical to become the UK's leading provider of polyclinics and other services such as Urgent Care Centres:

How long before we'll have Virgent Care Centre on the downsized QEII plot I wonder? Especially as I understand the EN Herts Trust is already working with Assura on UCCs.

I often thought that as the NHS increasingly became privatised they'd bring out the Branson at some point....wonder how long before he gets bored though and sells this off to some big US healthcare conglomerate?

In fact, Virgin has made it clear that it is not interested and will not even be bidding for these new practices.
