Destruction by council tennants
« on: January 18, 2010, 09:01:46 AM »
Ive written about this before but the same thing has happened again and i want to know from any of the councilors using this site what can be done about it.

A certain family moved out of a council home approx 3 years ago in cuffley, they left the house in such a state it took weeks to renovate and renew the house and garden and probably cost thousands of pounds of tax payers cash, now this same family have moved again and left the second house and garden in an even worse state, there is not one inch of grass left in the garden as its all covered in plastic sheeting, the bits not covered in plastic are covered in concrete and wood, this time i expect the bill to be even more to put it right.

Why do we as tax payers have to pay to put right what the benfit scrounging family destroy each time they move, and before anyone says i know this lot and know all about their fiddles and dodgy deals.

If any councilor wants details message me as im sure alot of this sites members would like to know how much money the council is willing to waste on these people.

eumulus - they should be put in tents to live if they abuse a decent roof over their head.

I have noticed yet, another house boarded up.... Housing Association I think - I think the area is called 'Fox Hollows' - I believe it was the family whose dogs had to be 'put to sleep' for killing other peoples animals.  It is boarded up.

I really do not understand how people can leave properties in such a state.  I think they were/are former 'travellers' and since policies now (If I remember correctly) try to get Councils to House travellers I guess there will be many more.  Perhaps more caravan sites should be created.

That said, I have a neighbour who is from a Travellers site and they moved in last year. LOVELY people - down to earth, friendly and just darned right NICE!!  They have done ' wonders' on the house, even thanked me for them getting the house as it was one which was 'rented out' but the tenant didn't move into it and I reported it to the Council!!

But I thought

"give them a home and 'they' end up trashing that too!!!"

Perhaps your other comment was a bit of a generalisation?
