Fireworks return to Hatfield House
« on: September 03, 2010, 07:27:52 PM »
Hatfield House will again play host to a gargantuan firework display on behalf of the Mayor's Charity Appeal this year. The second display of its kind will take place on Friday 5 November 2010.

Tickets can be bought online, via telephone or from the box offices at either Hatfield House or Campus West.

Gates will open at 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6.45pm by Lady Salisbury. It is anticipated that the main show will be finished by about 9pm.

Together with the fireworks, there will also be a bonfire, food and light entertainment.

Entry charges for people arriving on foot will be charged at £5 per adult and £3 per child, although children under 5 years old will be admitted free of charge. Tickets for vehicles containing no more than 5 people are £20 per car, while tickets for people carriers with up to 7 persons are £25.

The event has been organised on behalf of the Mayor's Charity Appeal. The event will support Help for Heroes and The Mixed Group. Councillor Howard Morgan, Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, said: "I'm very pleased that Hatfield House have agreed to help me to support my charities this year, and would like to thank Lord and Lady Salisbury for their repeated hospitality. Last year's event was such a huge success, I hope that people will come along this year for what is expected to be another electrifying display and a really enjoyable evening."
