pjb, in case you have forgotten Labour where in control of the Council at the time of the slough Estates Debacle - and just for the record, to all the others who seem to be of the opinion that I am a Tory councillor, I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say "NO WAY" this 60 something female, is not a representative of any party, of no particular political persuausion, the archetypale "floating voter" - and do not know or have never even met John Dean although at this moment in time the money that councillors get would come in useful to help me make ends meet! but on the other hand I would not probably have the time to devote to the job.
I too have had all the leaflets through the door, and although still not sure which way I shall be voting today a letter that came through my door last night, may be the deciding factor, and no I will no be telling you all which way I am swinging this time, but it will certainly not be for the same party that I voted for, for the first time in May.
